Tech Task: Animated GIF Maker

Animated gif I made for my Steam Profile

I thought this weeks tech task I could spice things up by actually designing a nice gif for one of my social pages on Steam. I was going to use a website at first but I figured I have access to all these adobe products it is a shame if I didn't use them. I started up After Effects and Photoshop, I used After effects to generate the 2 boxes and text design you see on the gif, I also placed an animated background behind it to add to the design. 

Once I had everything set I rendered out the finished project but first I needed to process it as a gif so I rendered each frame out into a png which I then launched on Photoshop and process the gif there. Overall pretty happy with how it looks and it runs pretty smooth too.

What is a Game, Anyway? I've personally always wondered what actually makes the fundamentals of a game or the basic features to which something can be called "A Game", and not until I read an article called "What is a game any way?" did I truly understand. The article itself is quite interesting and while it did take me a while to finish, it did teach me quite a few things such as the fact that everyone has a different point of view on what a game really is, what classifies as a game, some people think of video games or board games first but the list is endless really.  While reading this article you can begin to understand that a lot of games have similar ideas that contrast each other or relate in either one or two ways. The most eye-opening point made in this article to myself was one made by Schreiber who talks about the relationship between "Play" and "Games" where technology is not even needed to help enjoy a game of fetch or "play

My Favorite Game

   Team Fortress 2  Full Team Fortress 2 Image Team Fortress 2 is personally one of my favorite current games and has been for quite some time now, It is a first-person multiplayer video game which was made by Valve back in 2007. It was one of the first of many classic team-based games that revolve around having multiple character classes (9 in total) which the player could choose from.  The game features many game modes such as King of the Hill, Capture the Flag, Payload, and many more.
