Tech Task: Animated GIF Maker

Animated gif I made for my Steam Profile

I thought this weeks tech task I could spice things up by actually designing a nice gif for one of my social pages on Steam. I was going to use a website at first but I figured I have access to all these adobe products it is a shame if I didn't use them. I started up After Effects and Photoshop, I used After effects to generate the 2 boxes and text design you see on the gif, I also placed an animated background behind it to add to the design. 

Once I had everything set I rendered out the finished project but first I needed to process it as a gif so I rendered each frame out into a png which I then launched on Photoshop and process the gif there. Overall pretty happy with how it looks and it runs pretty smooth too.

What is a Game, Anyway? I've personally always wondered what actually makes the fundamentals of a game or the basic features to which something can be called "A Game", and not until I read an article called "What is a game any way?" did I truly understand. The article itself is quite interesting and while it did take me a while to finish, it did teach me quite a few things such as the fact that everyone has a different point of view on what a game really is, what classifies as a game, some people think of video games or board games first but the list is endless really.  While reading this article you can begin to understand that a lot of games have similar ideas that contrast each other or relate in either one or two ways. Game Idea Research

Nightmare Creature   Last weekend we were asked to begin our research on game ideas, possible games we could code within unity and showcase to our class. We were asked to come up with 4 unique ideas, here is mine: 1. Horror Puzzle Game 2. 3D Sphere Game 3. Tower Defence Game 4.
